Total Mechanical Partners with Runding Corporation to Build a Scalable Data Foundation with OpenBuild

[Pewaukee, WI] — [4/21/26] Total Mechanical Solutions, Southeastern Wisconsin’s premier HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire protection contractor, and a leading multi-service platform backed by Symbiome Capital, has selected Runding Corporation to unify its data and establish a scalable operational foundation to support continued platform growth.

As Total Mechanical continues to expand as an integrated platform, the complexity of managing data, reporting, and operational visibility across multiple functions and business units has increased. Like many growing contractor platforms, fragmented systems, manual reporting processes, and inconsistent data structures have made it difficult to gain real-time insight into business performance and drive efficiency at scale.

To address these challenges, Total Mechanical will implement OpenBuild to centralize data, standardize reporting, and create a connected operational framework that supports better decision-making across the organization. The approach focuses on unifying information across the business while preserving the workflows and systems that teams rely on today.

Andy Boeck

Chief Operating Officer

Scaling a platform business requires more than just growth — it requires clarity and consistency in how you see and manage the business. We were looking for a partner that understands the operational realities of specialty contracting and could help us bring structure to our data without overcomplicating our processes. Runding’s approach gives us a clear path to improve visibility and build a foundation for long-term growth.

By implementing OpenBuild, Total Mechanical will create a more connected and data-driven organization, enabling leadership to make faster, more informed decisions while supporting continued expansion under its platform model.

Scott Avirett
CEO, Runding Corporation

Total Mechanical is building exactly the kind of platform we see across the industry — one that requires a connected data foundation to truly scale. Our goal is to help unify their data and operations in a way that improves visibility and decision-making, while maintaining the flexibility and entrepreneurial culture that has driven their success.

OpenBuild is a contractor-first framework built in Microsoft that enables specialty contractors to unify data and automate process without being locked into rigid, proprietary platforms. By creating a centralized data and analytics foundation, Total Mechanical will be better positioned to improve reporting, enhance operational insight, and support future growth initiatives.
